This is yet another sample of my work in use. This is my good friend Saul who loves cars and life and if you couldn’t tell by the joy in his face loves his ’68 Impala coupe. This was such a fun shoot and the proof is in the pudding. This photograph is in my printed portfolio and continues to be on of my favorite photographs I’ve produced.

The production of custom imagery can be very cost prohibitive due to expenses associated with photographer, talent, and usage-plus-production fees. Sometimes clients request the production of image libraries for in-house stock collections. This is an awesome opportunity for clients to be able to have one-of-a-kind images available solely to them and not to the general public.

One of the great things about stock photography is that it allows for customers to buy images without the worries of having to produce them at a large expense. But ultimately, unless the image is heavily rights-managed, other customers can use the same image for similar usage in the same region the image is to be used – and if your photo’s seen on someone else’s website or production, you’ve committed a business faux pas.

USAA Advertisement

When I was a teenager, my brothers and I would visit my father in Boerne – a little German town just northwest of San Antonio. We would travel into nearby San Antonio to visit friends, shop, dine, and explore. I remember driving by the gigantic USAA complex and wondering “what the heck goes on in this place?” I never thought as a child that I would be photographing advertisements for the company as an adult. Thanks for hiring me to photograph your ad!

USAA started out in 1924 as the United States Army Automobile Association by a group of U.S. Army officers to self-insure each other because they were unable to get auto insurance due to the notion that soldiers were a high-risk group. Today, United Services Automobile Association (USAA) is one of the top ten automobile insurance providers in the country. USAA now employs more than 21,500 employees throughout the United States, and was ranked 45th on Fortune Magazine’s list of the “100 Best Companies to Work For.”

So props to USAA for providing a great service to our military and their families! And a special thanks for Phil Foster and Tatiana Luneva-Evenchik for deciding to work with me. It was a pleasure to work with you both.

Home Depot Photography

The Home Depot is the largest home improvement retailer in the US, the country’s fourth-largest retailer, and fifth-largest retailer in the world. It’s therefore no surprise they chose our imagery for their Personalized Video Gift Card store cards. This image really speaks about Home Depot’s commitment to children, fun, and education. To date they have completed more than 17.5 million projects at their in-store Kids Workshops.

EdTech Magazine

I recently photographed Mimi Morrison and David Carpenter of Huffman ISD for EdTech Magazine – a CDW publication with Nell Whiting of TMG Custom Media. Mimi and David were very nice to work with. They were complete opposites; they complimented each other well. It’s nice to see how technology is helping keep schools safer for students and faculty. We’ve come a long way from bullying on the playground – now big brother (or the big principle) might bust you for being a bully. No more arguments about who pushed who first. Remember kids, nobody likes a bully.
