The Home Depot is the largest home improvement retailer in the US, the country’s fourth-largest retailer, and fifth-largest retailer in the world. It’s therefore no surprise they chose our imagery for their Personalized Video Gift Card store cards. This image really speaks about Home Depot’s commitment to children, fun, and education. To date they have completed more than 17.5 million projects at their in-store Kids Workshops.

EdTech Magazine

I recently photographed Mimi Morrison and David Carpenter of Huffman ISD for EdTech Magazine – a CDW publication with Nell Whiting of TMG Custom Media. Mimi and David were very nice to work with. They were complete opposites; they complimented each other well. It’s nice to see how technology is helping keep schools safer for students and faculty. We’ve come a long way from bullying on the playground – now big brother (or the big principle) might bust you for being a bully. No more arguments about who pushed who first. Remember kids, nobody likes a bully.

If you haven’t seen Hot Tub Time Machine, it’s truly worth your time. It’ll have you laughing in no time. During the opening credits you can see a photograph we did in an actual Hot Tub Time Machine…minus the time machine. I wish everyone could read German – the article isn’t in English, and covers lots of information on the history of Gruene and New Braunsfels. Oh well…enjoy the images! Howdy – or “Guten Tag!” I recently worked on a couple stories with a great German magazine “spiegel online” and writer Denis Krah. This blog post is about our first encounter. Denis was a great person to work with, truly kind. During our first assignment we had the privilege of eating some of Margaret Nadeau’s award wining chili. That may not mean much to some folks but in Texas being a chili champion equals big bragging rights. Margaret showed up in her black cowboy hat and wowed everyone with her fabulous personality and award-winning chili. Here’s the link to the article.

Molly Glentzer – Amazing Writer

Sometimes a blog shouldn’t just be about yourself. I’m wanting to take this opportunity to talk about our wonderful friend and collaborator Molly Glentzer.

Molly’s an amazing and caring person who’s full of more nouns, verbs, and adjectives than a well-played game of scrabble. She’s currently a contributing writer at the Houston Chronicle and various other publications. We met while working together with the Rigamarole publications for Diamond Offshore. She also has a blog via the Houston Chronicle covering gardening and one of her passions, flowers, more specifically roses. It is available with an RSS feed.

Daniel Pagan – Designer and Friend

My buddy Daniel is truly a gifted person. Daniel’s a talented designer, project manager, and photographer– all in all a real stand-up guy.

I recently had lunch with Daniel and was impressed with his design capabilities and understanding of projects. He’s heading up a printed promotional piece for me, and I know the project will be a huge success. We’re working together with Molly Glentzer, another very talented person, on my Texas photography promotional project. I can’t wait to see the final printed pieces.
